Budget amounts also depend on the general state of the country's economy, with no guarantees
of protection. For example, recently, Iran’s economy has been doing poorly (due to new wave of
sanctions) and almost all budget lines concerning vulnerable children have been reduced. On
average, a 10% decrease in most of the budget lines related to this topic can be seen in the 1399
budget.
Special budgets for disadvantaged or vulnerable children are included in the budgets, although
still insufficient. The government has not been able to control the impact of the economic
situation on the budget, resulting in a reduction in budgets relating to funding for disadvantaged
and vulnerable children.
