Full recommendation:
The Committee recommends that the State party take all appropriate measures to ensure that the
recommendations contained in the present concluding observations are fully implemented. The
Committee also recommends that the combined third and fourth periodic reports, the written
replies to the list of issues of the State party and the present concluding observations be made
widely available in the languages of the country.
Assessment
A. Take all appropriate measures to ensure that the recommendations contained in the
present concluding observations are fully implemented
As of February 2021, the Government of Iran (“Iran”) has not taken all appropriate measures to
ensure that every recommendation in the Concluding Observations is fully implemented. As the
other assessments illustrate, Iran has not implemented or only partially implemented a significant
number of recommendations. Meanwhile, some recommendations may impose a future deadline
for compliance by Iran, such as in Concluding Observation CRC/C/IRN/CO/3-4 para 97.
B. Make the combined third and fourth periodic reports, written replies to the list of
issues of the State party and the present concluding observations widely available in
the official language of the country
As of February 2021, Iran has neither translated these aforementioned documents into Persian, as
the country’s official language, nor made them widely available to the public.
