Full recommendation:
The Committee urges the State party to fulfil its reporting obligations under the Optional
Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children, child prostitution
and child pornography, the report for which is overdue as of 16 April 2013.
Assessment
On 26 September 2007, the Government of Iran ratified the Optional Protocol to the Convention
on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography.1 As
of February 2021, the Government of Iran has not submitted its overdue report under this
optional protocol to the Committee.2
Recommendation Status:
This recommendation has NOT been implemented.
