Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran raised serious concerns about the lack of investigation and accountability into the November 2019 protests.39 In light of the above, the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has not taken immediate steps to eliminate incommunicado detention, taking due care to ensure compliance in practice.
