Full recommendation:
The Special Rapporteur regrets that the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has not responded to
seven communications sent during the reporting period. In the absence of a response and clarification on
the cases addressed there in and given the irreversible nature of capital punishment, the Special
Rapporteur urges the Government to take all necessary measures to prevent the execution of the subjects
of these communications.
Assessment
The subjects concerned by the seven communications are the following:

Ms. Rayhaneh Jabbari1 was reportedly executed in October 2014.2 3
Messrs. Hamed Ahmadi, Kamal Malaee, Jahangir Dehghani and Jamshed Dehghani4 were
executed in March 2015.5 6 7 8
Special Procedures sent an urgent appeal in July 2014 concerning the imminent executions of 33
Kurdish Sunni Iranians.9 NGO reports confirmed the executions of 32 of them, Messrs. Hamed
Ahmadi, Kamal Molaee, Jahangir Dehghani, Jamshid Dehghani, Seyed Abdol Hadi Hosseini,
Sedigh Mohammadi, Shahram Ahmadi, Varia Ghaderifard, Mohammad Gharibi, Taleb Maleki,
Keyvan Momenifard, Ahmad Nasiri, Bahman Rahimi, Mokhtar Rahimi, Mohammadyavar
Rahimi, Behrouz Shahnazari, Arash Sharifi, Kaveh Sharifi, Kaveh Veysi, Idris Nemati, Pouria
Mohammadi, Abdorahman Sangani, Alam Barmashti, Farzad Shahnazari, Teymour Naderizadeh,
Farzad Honarjo, Seyed Shaho Ebrahimi, Farshid Naseri, Mohammad Keyvan Karimi, Omid
Peyvand, Amjad Salehi, Seyed Jamal Mousavi. 10 11 12 13 14 15 Mr. Borzan Nasrollahzadeh
reportedly remains on death row.16
