However, reports have shown that such conditions disproportionately impact the province of Sistan and Baluchestan. Notably, projects undertaken to improve access to water in the province have remained incomplete. Despite increased budget dedicated to the development of and a number initiatives aimed at improving living conditions in the province, there is no readily available information that might indicate the existence of governmental measures specifically designed to improve health infrastructure and the provision of adequate water and sanitation in the region of Sistan and Baluchestan. Such situation may well amount to a failure from the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to take appropriate steps to ensure the right to health for the habitants of the Sistan and Baluchestan province.
